Evil has infinite incarnations. Comes wrapped in a variety of attractive packages. None of them as alluring, as sensual, as Trina Dimitri. Her beauty, mystique, her stunning physical presence. That face. That body. The package is mesmerizing, but what lies hidden inside? Darkness. A habitat for psychosis, rabid emotions, all of them voracious, ruthless, and deadly. Trina’s husband, top contending light-heavyweight boxer, Nick “Nicky Kid” Dimitri, had a couple of rules for keeping his head above the raging waters of their tumultuous relationship One . . . don’t cross Trina. Two . . . if you do, don’t ever turn your back on her. Rules to live by, to keep on living by. Now the rules have gone by the wayside. With reckless abandon Nick has cast off his strategy for survival. Turned down a four million dollar deal. Taken up with another woman. Finances and philandering, money and sex, have crumbled the foundations of far stronger marriages than Nick’s. Reduced love’s ivory towers to rubble. Hard to say what has Trina more upset, Nick’s turning his back on four million, or his taking up with Roxi, his young gutterpunk lover. But, make no mistake, Trina is enraged. Planning a payback. A divorce, of sorts, one whose terms are nonnegotiable, whose stipulations will be written in blood. KISS ME, EVIL . . . a fast paced, trenchant, sensual, violent tour of Southern California’s dark side, offering up an incisive look at some of the most murderous, immoral, bottom feeders ever to leave a bloody handprint on a printed page. Dark crime fiction at its brutal best.

Spoiler alert: Kiss Me, Evil packed with sex, violence, and suspense. The sex is hot and detailed and nearly constant, the violence is exciting, and the suspense is completely compelling.
Also, it has all this: boxing, organized crime, choppers (the bikes, the bike-makers, and the bikers), drugs, alcohol, one very evil and sexy woman, one very good/tragic/sexy woman, Long Beach, LA, Arizona, Las Vegas locales, and, lots of fights and blood and gore and murder. All good things in a novel, I think.

The hero is a light heavy weight boxer named Nick "Nicky Kid" Dimitri. He is married to the beautiful, greedy and voracious Trina. He has a championship bout coming up with a guaranteed $4 million payday. But, he has an eye injury so bad that even with healing surgery, if he fights again he could lose the eye. He decides to retire and forgo the four mil, which sets in motion numerous plots against him.

Nick doesn't get it as all the people he used to trust go after him. That is because he is basically good, and not greedy, so it is hard for him to imagine the evil that others are ready to inflict on him for greed and/or revenge.

Blackie Noir is a very good writer. It is a complicated plot, and he lays it out very well. (Kept me guessing) He is good with clever description, turns of phrase.

So, do you get it? Want to read a noir-tinged crime thriller that is well-written with lots of suspense and fighting and sex with a satisfying ending? Read this one, okay?

Kiss Me Evil Blackie Noir 9781500312251 Books Reviews

One's mood always is reflected in how we reflect on a story we read and rate. In the case of "Kiss Me Evil" my mood must have been perfect for the story line because it was terrific to read and even better to reflect on after the fact.
Blackie comes to visit my Facebook Group, Reviewers Roundup, whenever he's released a new book... And I immediately go out and download from . This time, however, when he posted Kiss Me, Evil, I didn't realize that it was a new updated version of Open Wound, which I happened to start reading first... Let me say that there is not too much difference in the book itself, so if you, too, have already read the first version, then I don't recommend you get this one...UNLESS

You didn't like the first version.

One of the things I told Blackie about the first version was that, from a woman's viewpoint, I enjoyed learning to hate Trina before the book made it so plain. However, as you will see from the prologue, the author points Trina right out front as she really is--a black-hearted greedy bitch... A character that really has no redeeming value, except of course, to hate her... Unless you're Nick or probably any man that enjoys hot-looking babes...

In fact, I was surprised that she even kept her man... from a female point of view...LOL

Nick was a boxer and had finally come into the money... Each of his wins had meant more and more money and Trina began to not only depend upon it, but demand that it was her due... Her true colors were finally coming out! Now he had a $4M contract on the table, just waiting for his signature. He was on his way to the top! Trina was just waiting for the check!

The trip to the eye doctor made everything change...for Nick...

Not for Trina...

What would you do if your wife wanted you to continue boxing, even if you would lose your eye? Nick left and went looking to get on the road to cool off... His best friend, Trash, kept his bike at his shop so he was on his way, when a "slight" distraction occurred...

Her name? Does it matter? She had caught Nick's attention. She was the first woman that had dragged his eyes away from his wife... And he was just about ready to say goodbye to greedy Trina...

And then the blood started flowing...Lots of it!

If you enjoy hard-boiled blood and guts, where payback is the only thing going--unless it is killing for revenge or money, Blackie Noir has his main character stepping up to the plate to deal with those who feel his money should be their money...no matter what Hell Nick went through to get it!

Personally, I still liked the first version as much or more than the final. There really is no doubt about it.This book is "Blackie Noir" at his finest... But I'd still rather have had a different ending, romantic that I am... LOL

I'm constantly awed by the skill demonstrated in Blackie's writing. Blackie doesn't just write noir, he master's it. As always, Blackie draws in his readers with badass character's.

Nicky is our main, is a light heavy weight boxer in the midst of calling it quits and everything that decision embodies.

Nicky is married to one of the most cold hearted women this world embodies, Trish. Her mission To stay filthy rich

Trash is Nicky' main and he is a scary motherf**ker.

And Roxi is the new girl. A sleek jaguar trying to rid herself of old vices and instead picking up new dangerous ones.

Nicky isn't just shy a screw but a missing a whole head of them. To say that he is fool, is putting it lightly. It's hard not to like Nicky no matter how pitiful he becomes as the story progresses.

I found myself losing respect for him, not because he is flawed but because he constantly makes the choice to defend his bad choices no matter how many times he ends up screwed over. Yes, it's actually possible to like someone you don't respect. I learned that with Nicky.

Trish. Although, Nicky was one of the best written character's that I have read all year, Trish comes in second. I absolutely loved hating this woman. I wanted to get into her head so bad and figure out why she was the way she was. Money is secondary. I'm not sure if the mention of the baby was significant in her turnout, but possibly. It's hard to say, being that she is always defined as dominant and intelligent. I felt absolutely nothing for her turnout.

Trash, like Nicky, makes you want to cheer "badass". This man is a sociopath and he is amazing. He comes off as honorable in his own way and so that is why it came as a shock to me, that he was less than so. I suppose greed catches up with some of us.

Roxi. She was this little sliver of hope presented, but in noir fashion, is extinguished when she right's her wrongs. But even her hopes live on. After all Nicky comes out alive with fresh tears in eyes amidst all the blood.

This story was the epitome of betrayal.
Does anyone really come out on top?

If youre having second guesses. Don't. Buy the damn book. If you're into noir, look no furthur. If you're not, this book will make you be.
